WORKSHIP OVERVIEW


This one-day workshop introduces the concept of ROI, the fastest growing metric for evaluating learning and performance improvement. Participants are exposed to the ROI Methodology, which includes developing objectives, collecting data, isolating the effects of the program, converting data to monetary values, tabulating appropriate program costs, and calculating the ROI. Participants quickly see the advantage of using ROI as six types of data are collected and analyzed. This workshop takes the mystery out of the use of ROI.

Tim R. Brock, Ph.D., CRP, CPT

ROI Institute, Inc.

Dr. Tim Brock is the Director of Consulting Services for ROI Institute, Inc., the leading source of Return on Investment (ROI) competency building, implementation support, networking, and research in over 60 countries at more than 5,000 organizations, to include the United Nations and World Back.   He also serves on the post-graduate faculties of the UN System Staff College at Turin, Italy and Capella University at Minneapolis, MN.  He is one of only three people in the United States qualified to teach the ROI Institute’s five-day ROI Certification workshop and provide virtual support for those applying the methodology in workplaces around the globe who are seeking to earn the Certified ROI Professional (CRP) credential. 

Dr. Brock is also a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) through the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI).  He is a member of ISPI’s Certification and Accreditation Governance Committee that oversees ISPI’s competency-based CPT credential and the founding president of ISPI’s Central Florida Chapter.    

Dr. Brock earned his PhD in Education with a specialization in Training and Performance Improvement through Capella University in 2009.  His dissertation topic was “Training NASA Astronauts for Deep Space Exploration Mission: A Research Study to Develop and Validate a Competency-Based Training Framework” (2007).  A chapter he wrote for the book “Healthcare Simulation: A Guide for Operations Specialists” (2016), titled Simulations Operations, Curriculum Integration, and Performance Improvement, was selected for the ISPI Award of Excellence for Human Performance Improvement Communication.  ISPI also published his article titled “Performance Analytics:  The Missing Link Between Learning Analytics and Business Analytics” in the August 2017 edition of their Performance Improvement Journal.
