Topic: Fundamentals of Performance Improvement: A Strategic Pathway to Success with Dr. Tim Brock, CPT & The Launch of the ISPI CFC Certified Performance Technologist Mentoring Program

Start Time: 6:00 PM    End Time: 8:00 PM

Overview:

Join us on January 15, 2015 for an event with Dr. Tim Brock, a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) with the International Society for Performance Improvement. He will answer fundamental questions about performance improvement.

In addition to Dr. Tim Brock’s presentation, ISPI CFC will launch its Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) Mentoring Program during the January 15th meeting.

Description:

What makes the principles and practices of performance improvement unique? How does performance improvement differ from Six/Lean Sigma, Organizational Development, Training and Development, or other methodologies that organizations use to improve their performance outcomes? How can you become a credible performance improvement practitioner who knows how to give executives and key stakeholders what they want: measurable, sustainable, worthy results?

With today’s highly competitive job market and current employment uncertainties, all of us must continue to invest in ourselves to develop our skill sets and grow our network of contacts to remain relevant, valued, and connected.
You will learn how to assess gaps in your professional development plan by answering the following questions:

  1. What’s all the fuss about Performance Improvement?
  2. Why should I care?
  3. How do Performance Improvement professionals think differently?
  4. How can adding Performance Improvement skill sets increase my value and marketability?

In addition to Dr. Tim Brock’s presentation, ISPI CFC will launch its Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) Mentoring Program during the January 15th meeting. The CPT designation, highly prized by employers all over the world and considered the industry’s premiere certification. Potential certification candidates will be able to meet with experienced professionals who will provide a distinctive service and mentorship throughout the certification application process. Professionals interested in participating in the mentoring program will be able to partner with experienced performance professionals. The mentoring program begins on January 15th at the Chapter meeting and will continue throughout the year. Mentoring groups will meet before each regular Chapter meeting during the typical networking time starting at 6 p.m. Join us to take your career to next level.
